A good opportunity to update on UK food innovation: IFE
The UK has now for many years gained acceptance as a leading source of innovation for products, retail ideas and foodservice concepts. The IFE, taking place every two years at the ExCel London, a short shuttle ride from London City Airport, has established itself as an excellent focal point for interested international buyers and importers. The airport is well-served by Lufthansa, BA and Swiss.
The show takes place this year from March 22 to 25 and will again be well worth a visit. Markus Krick, Director Strategic Planning & Acquisition of the renowned Importhaus Wilms: “IFE is an excellent platform for us to update on latest trends in the British trade and see if there are gaps in our range of products which we could fill with British brands.”
This year’s IFE will have over 1,200 exhibitors and promises interesting novelties across all food categories. We recommend combining your visit with a store check which should include both larger and smaller Tesco’s and Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer’s Simply Food and coffee bar or deli concepts such as Nero and Pret A Manger.
