Natural, Organic and Free-from Products in the mainstream

The Natural and Organic Product Exhibition 2016 was a sell-out. It has undergone a transformation in recent years – just like the sector it serves, as natural and organic products have moved out of the shadows and into the limelight.

No longer just the preserve of health food shops, they are now among the most innovative products hitting the shelves of the big supermarket chains as they cater for an ever increasing shopper base looking for safe, healthy, unadulterated food with as few ingredients as possible.

Free-from (gluten, lactose etc) continues to grow strongly at well above 10% per year. ‘Natural’ product launches are one of the key themes in NPD today and organic food is making a strong revival after a few years of decline during the recession.
