Sales force a must in Sweden and across Nordics
Sales Support is the leading sales force across the Nordics with around 300 sales people and 100 suppliers of food and drink. Despite the tough economic climate the need for brands to be represented in each store is even stronger not least due to central focus on private label.
Odd Strand the MD gives his view on the present situation across the Nordics. Green Seed has been working with several brand owners that over the years have been using their services.
Odd Strand sees the key trends are – Quality products but which are easy to prepare, useful products, focus on low salt content, low sugar content, alongside added value such as added vitamins, probiotics and more.
New clients in 2023 are brands like: Lavazza, GB Foods, Renée Voltaire, Enzymatica, Aprés, Åre Beverage Group, PQM, Sproud, Neoz, Good Gum, Eternal & Waterwipes
“To be Visible”
The key challenge is to be to be visible in stores and towards consumers and Odd believes there will be a big focus on increasing distribution on the shelf, exciting POS material to stop consumers in their tracks, attractive gondola end displays with good offers, demonstrations, sampling and more.
“To be inspired”
– We believe that the consumer will be inspired and that people will want to eat good food – so healthy, simple everyday food plus a little extra for the weekend is a good combo, believes Sales Support’s CEO.
Despite a lot of focus on Private Label and promotions the stores appreciate strong brands that consumers recognize and appreciate and can provide a good retail margin. It is important for sellers to understand retailer commercials, to be able to offer a good margin in a sales presentation and to sell in with good product knowledge as well as to know a lot about the store’s consumer and trading behaviour. “Never forget the shelf, it is priority number one for us and for the stores.
